Not forgotten

I first met drefeyja about seven years ago on this site, so here is probably the best place to say this. We never had the chance to see each other in real life, but she was my friend as much as any of the ones i met in person.
I remember complaining that i couldn't afford a tablet, then i managed to get one sooner than i thought; she told me afterwards that she had already talked to a few other dA users about raising money to buy me one for Christmas. That's just one small example, but everyone who knew her can tell she was one of those rare people who are truly compassionate and sincere in both actions and words, not merely an idealist, but one who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Her volunteering work is yet another proof of that.
As it often happens, we slowly drifted away over the years, but started to talk again a few months before she went away. I wish i could have made better use of the little time left, but i didn't really believe this would happen.
Today it would have been her birthday, she would have turned 29. I saw the notification and, for a moment, thought that none of it was true, but then reality sank in.
I'm sorry i couldn't write something better now. Happy birthday, Dragon Keeper! Wherever you are, know you are not forgotten.
